Techically, we never declared war on Iraq. Congress never passed an act doing so. We began military operations on March 19, 2003.

When the UN deadline of January 15 passed without an Iraqi withdrawal, a vast majority of coalition members joined in the decision to attack Iraq. A few members, such as Morocco, elected not to take part in the military strikes. In the early morning of January 17, 1991, coalition forces began a massive air attack on Iraqi targets
On February 24 the coalition launched its long-anticipated land offensive. The bulk of the attack was in southwestern Iraq, where coalition forces first moved north, then turned east toward the Iraqi port of Al Başrah. This maneuver surrounded Kuwait, encircling the Iraqi forces there and in southern Iraq, and allowed coalition forces (mainly Arab) to move up the coast and take Kuwait city. Some Iraqi units resisted, but the coalition offensive advanced more quickly than anticipated. Thousands of Iraqi troops surrendered. Others deserted. Iraq then focused its efforts on withdrawing its elite units and sabotaging Kuwaiti infrastructure and industry. Many oil wells were set on fire, creating huge oil lakes, thick black smoke, and other environmental damage. Two days after the ground war began, Iraq announced it was leaving Kuwait.

it rather is not the Iraq war. it rather is the war against terrorism as an entire. The battleground for terrorism is in Iraq good now. If we pull out, we threat the opportunity of that battleground moving to our united states of america or someplace in Europe. The war in Iraq ended right this moment. We have been given rid of Saddam and his unswerving, corrupt and brutal backers. the persons who're loss of life good now are Iraqi civilians on the palms of alternative Iraqis. we would desire to be there to help stabilize those tensions. regrettably, modern-day war and morality have weakened the decide for and capacity of our military. We use to grant warnings and say in case you get interior the way, we can kill you. Now, it rather is all approximately concentrated bombing and going into residences, faculties and mosques to discover the terrorists. this might final continually so some distance as i'm worried. the only thank you to win is to declare "every physique it rather is a pal of the U. S., sparkling out of this section" and then bomb the hell out of that city. we can by no potential try this and for this reason, will by no potential stabilize the area.
