" We have met the enemy and he is us." Was Walt Kelly right? Are we our own worst enemy? We are spending two billion dollars a week in Iraq. Afghanistan is just small change. Perhaps enough for thousands of families whose jobs have been outsourced or Iraq veterans needing assistance. Our national debt is rising faster than global warming. We are a debtor nation. Have we met the enemy and it is us? We voted for this guy, twice. Or, are we just masochists. Please sir, may I have another?

Four More Yea... oh wait, he can't get re-elected THANK GOODNESS. Of course we're worse off - but it's easy to say that Dubbya is the problem. Would another candidate taken better care of our country? You don't know, I never voted for him. Not the first time when he 'won' and not the second time when he was re-elected so we didn't look weak by changing leadership in the middle of a stand for freedom. Would we be better off with someone else though? I would like to think so... we will soon have the chance to find out

We? ... He won the popular vote, I believe. But the US people didn't elect him, that's the electoral commitee's job, and it isn't influenced by any means, popular vote or not. The fact is that our president is chosen by our government.

We're no better off than we were on 9/11. The President is making money of this campaign, and so are his cabinet members, while our national debt is going up by the day. They assume that when they have complete control over the middle east, their debt will be paid off, as the oil industry is "big bucks".

Not me! I didn't vote for him the first or the second time. I looked up his voting record. Also checked out his past history. People need to take time and research candidates and not just vote for whoever.

Hell no we aren't better off. While I don't remember the Pogo comic strip (way before my time) I agree with you that we are way worse off than before.

It reflects upon his opponents - there were even worse. Hence, why he was re-elected.

YAWN. Give it a rest. You've lost, you will lose, and you'll still be assuming everyone else is stupid instead of looking at yourselves and determining that maybe people don't like sourpusses that degrade this great nation.
