Antoine Lavoisier was a great French scientist at the time of french revolution. He was put to guillotine because he worked as tax collector for the king for a short period before giving up the job and become a full time scientist. The ignorant people killed him without understanding his value .
The next day the news papers carried the head line "yesterday a head was put to the guillotine like of which France cannot produce for another thousand years"
