If I eat "bad" food and drink alcohol and smoke occassionally how much time does that really take away from my life? Maybe I live to 70 being a pig and a drunkard well how long does the "healthy" person live? Maybe they live to 90. It is not like healthy people live to 200 or something. What is the real incentive for living a healthy lifestyle cuz lets face it, it aint longevity.

Well, i could not agree more. For me and you it can add or subtract a few years but for others those extra years make a huge difference. I guess most people are simply in a state of denail regarding death. people know their day will come but always think it is some time in the distant future.

I would say live a good life for 60-70 years that is full of fun instead of an extended boring life.

I started living the "healthy life style" 8 years age. You may find it hard to believe roasted veggies taste better then anything sold at fast food. A nice glass or two of wine at dinner is great. At 63 I can do 30 push ups and 30 sit ups without breaking a swet. While others are buying Viagra at $10 a pill, I wonder why.

When I was 30 I smoked and occasionally drank too much. That was probably OK. When you get in you 40's start cutting back and enjoy the finer things of life. Good Luck.

Well,if you live a healthy lifestyle and
you do live longer because of living a healthy lifestyle think of how much longer you will have to help other people in this world such as poverished children and low income women and seniors and disabled people. That is why it is important to keep yourself healthy not only for
just "Yourself" but for to help other people as well.

I guess it would mean the difference between feeling good physically everyday or feeling like crap everyday until you die. Which would you prefer? You could feel like crap for the next 50 years or you could feel good. No one knows for sure what will happen but you sure shorten the odds of feeling crappy if you take care of yourself.
