Saying liberal thinking is destroying our nation is a huge topic--not very specific at all. And where would we be otherwise? Not a good place at all--intolerant and little-minded--not caring about anyone who sees things differently.

Education!

Educate people to look at who says or alledges what and why they do so, what is their motive for saying such. I find that liberals more than conservatives refer to people or sources that are biased in their favour for proof of a point!

Relevance, I find that liberals often stray from points when in a debate arguing that that irrelevant and unconnected events are equal and should garner equal treatment. Liberals are HUGE believers in the code "Equality Uber Als." They feel that no matter what we shoudl treat everything and everyone the same irrespective of differing circumstances meriting distinction. Quite often when they loose an argument then they either veer of into other subjects or into ad hominem attacks on the other party.

Excellence. We need to start demanding (particularly in schools and government) that people compete for things again, that in those competitions winners and losers be declared and that people advance in their jobs and advance to the next grade because they deserve to go there and not because of some kind of entitlement. With thre growth of government and the "sensitivity culture" in schools this country has ceased being a meritocracy and is lurching towards mediocracy as a result. Liberals think that this is fair for women and minorities but it ends up being unfair for everyone including women and minorities as the whole country suffers when the wrong people are in the wrong places for the wrong reasons.

Values. American values have to be proudly proclaimed once again without fear of offending people and political correctness. Our country's values are inclusive enough ... of those who embrace them and if you do not embrace them then you are free (unlike in other countries) to leave and thousands of potential new commers would be vying for your spot the day you do leave!

The conservatives can't take over education. They're too busy legislating what they have no jurisdiction over and have no training or experience in.

I am an American.
I value diversity.
Therefore, diversity is an American value - if I am in the majority and no one rigs the vote!

In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.

When I was in the Navy, the best way to kill a bad policy was to follow it exactly. Unfortunately, I think letting liberal policies run their course will end up with everyone under a tyrannical socialist government, and then we might not be able to get out from under it.

Maybe education of the public is the best way, like demanding that all public schools start teaching basic economics and political theory. It would also help if parents did not allow their public schools to get away with having a faculty that is 99.9% liberal, and that is allowed to teach things in a biased way. Holding colleges to these standards would help as well.

You can declare Marshall law, and curfew everyone to their homes after 6 at night. Then brainwash them by running subliminal neoconservative programming, suggesting they don't require they're liberty, and that liberty is over rated ?? Come to think of it, maybe they already looked into that..

Liberal thinking will lead to the most conservative form of government, therefore I say let them be.

Don't be ridiculous. We need a bit of liberal thinking to protect our forests, our environment, animals, higher learning, the poor and disfranchized.

If you "eliminate liberal thinking"...

...you WILL destroy this nation.

That's funny the way you put that. I guess you're all for totalitarianism. ( LOL ) Don't sweat it. I know what you mean. Promising liberty but offering corruption. It happens one American at a time who dearly loves freedom and true liberty and won't sacrifice the truth in the process. I'd say we all have our work cut out for us.
