I am reading "Ice Castle" by Jeannette Walls, which is good. It's about a very dysfunctional family. I also read "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" by Dave Eggers and it was pretty good, also. Both books have won awards - and I believe both are available in paperback (or for way less on amazon.com). Happy Reading!

You might enjoy books written by Douglas preston, forget what his co authors name is they are filed under preston at our library, since his name comes first. They have a little bit of the nystery fiction like Dan Brown. The stuff that makes you wonder.

Try Katherine Neville or Michael Baigent. Bagent's "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" is pretty awesome. I enjoyed it very much. John Grisham never fails to impress, too.
Good luck!

I like Heinlein and Asimov. Any of their books are good. A recent favorite of mine is Good Omens, especially if you like British humor.
