okay i'm black. I know that. I never thought of myself as being a black girl. For instance, I have had people call me the n-word for no reason and would i never think they're racial slurs and remarks were directed to me. I would simply brush it off. I never thought of black as the reason why certain people would automatically assume i was getting straight Fs or i was a hoochie. I never thought being black would prevent from dating a hot girl (who happened to be white). I've been rejected several times by both blacks, whites, and even half white half black people because i am black. i didn't think people saw race any more and rejected people solely because of theit ethnicity. I just always thought i was just like any another girl. Well this is my experience. any suggestions, advice, comment or experiences you want to share also.

really storm,
people who act like that do NOT deserve your time.

funny thing is I dont know how to process what you just wrote, it seems to me you are saying you dont feel black because you dont fit into a stereotypical view of blacks ( being hoochie, or getting F's or being a N-----).
Thats good, because not all blacks are like that. But you are black, I will venture to say its not a feeling, a "way of life" or an act.
Its a people, no diffrent , no less and no more than anyone else.
And yes there is alot to it, even in our own community there is alot of who's hot or not. For men and women. I dont know what to say about the dating scene, Im not really in it either.
I kind of relate to you, because before I came to this site I always felt like I was a regular person, but then realized my dark skin means Im so much more to people. And it tends to be negative but I realize Im a person , the sun shines on me the same way it shines on anyone else, so Im no diffrent. But I was always aware of this stuff, its just, every once in awhile you learn or hear something new.
absurd, yes it is, but you have to learn to keep both feet in reality.
I really hope this helps, if you want you can stay in contact with me via email.
sweet dreams, i gotta go sleep now!

I don't feel white. People reject me all the time and I love them all very much. Its probably because I'm a Jesus Freak. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. People are just cursed and I know the way out. It's not about skin color, Its about people wanting to be greater than or less than everyone else. If you were tall it would be that. Short. Fat. Average,Muslim,Christian,Rich, Poor, It's all about people stroking their ego's. Lets change it! I'll start with me and my children. How about you?

GOD bless ya.

Oh... I've been there. I am half black. Many kids at my school ask me where I'm from, tried to dress me up, and said I don't represent black people (I know really cool black people, but if I represent their definition of black, you want me to define stupid). However, I'm a very hyper and frolic person. I say in my head "Anyone racist is only a dead-weight in your life. They only make your life worse." So I started becoming friends with nerds. They are the coolest people I have ever met in my life. I became one of them and I love to admit it. You don't have to be a nerd, but have a personality you would love to keep. Your life will be much easier.

People who act like that do not deserve your time to even worry about . Ignore them , you will find the right people that will except you for you. Let the rude ill mannered ones have each other , that's all they deserve . Hopefully someday they too will grow up !
