whats a bad reason for the principal to have random locker searcheS?

like in my school 4 drug reasons, bombs, any thing really that is banned from school sometimes they just like to search peoples lockers just to check.

A bad reason? Just because he's nosy. However, I find this to be highly unlikely as these are generally not brought about unless there is a suspicion of drugs/weapons or other forms of contraband in theh lockers. If you feel this is an invasion of privacy, you are wrong. This is done for the protection of all the students and should be done on a regular basis. If you have something to hide, leave it at home. I am a huge advocate of safety in schools, and feel that the security on ALL school campuses is way below what it should be. See recent examples of violence if you don't believe me.

They used it as a lame excuse to look for drugs, but MOST kids are smart enough to keep their drugs either on them, or leave them at home. Trust me it is a cover up, the school doesn't want you coming home telling mommy and daddy that the school did a drug search today. The school wants to make your parents think that they have all the drugs out of the school, and that everything's under control. That's the oldest trick in the book.

A bad reason would simply be without probable cause. They can't initiate a search unless someone has tipped them off, or if a student is behaving suspiciously.

There are no "bad" reasons. Locker searches are for your safety.

All six of these answers were correct......Something might be going down that you don't know about for your own safety perhaps....People need to stop questioning officials and let them do their job...If they didn't then you would question that as well .Just try and do what is asked of you. to make sure you don't have anything bad in there like drugs or something so i suggest you take and keep out all the bad things that you have, that is if you have anything
