With Respect. We are feared but not respected in the world! We have alienated traditional allies and turned most of the world against us. We had much of the world sympathetic to us after 9/11, but we have now completely reversed that sympathy and the rest of the world thinks we are the bully on the playground.

We wouldn't have gone to war with Iraq because we would have let the IAEA and Weapons inspectors do their job in Iraq and would have discovered the revelation that they infact had no WMD, and we would have first finished the war in Afghanistan, and caught Bin Laden.

Im not sure it would be percieved all that differently. Reputation and perception are hard things to overcome, and they arent the best right now. Even in "friendly" countries, you are perceived in a bad light, but I think that goes with being the only superpower left in the world. Bush has done things to give you a worse image, but I dont think he has made a big difference in that specific area. When the war in Iraq first started, someone told me that Iraq is "the American's War", and many see it that way, even people who live in the so-called "Coalition of the Willing" countries. You will never be able to please everyone, and one other thing that needs to be said there is a BIG difference on how the American government and the American people are percieved, they may dislike the gov't, but like the people.

If Al Gore had been elected it 2000, America would be in the midst of a deep depression right now. Gore would have signed Executive Orders to implement Kyoto restrictions, even though the Senate never ratified the treaty. Those executive orders would have killed the economy. Unemployment would be 20% or so and crime would be rampant.

The Islamic Terrorists would have taken advantage of that situation. There would be Mosques everywhere recruiting the downtrodden, and bombs going off wherever Sharia law is resisted. Gore would then go on TV, and decry the violence, but then tell us that there is no money to pay for law enforcement due to the "republican" depression. He would tell us that it "our" responsibility to respect "Islamic" culture, and propose zones of self determination for the Islamists, bu 2008, they would control enough votes to determine the winner of the Presidential Election.

A weak and indecisive counrty tthat is over-taxed and has a budget that is way out of wack because of liberal Democratic social programs and a country that has people in the lower and middle classes with limited access to travel because they are forced to give up thier cars do to Gores signing of the Kyoto Accords and his campaign agsinst the internal combution engine. And with airlines bankrupt because noone has the money to fly and are too scared because of the threat of more terror attacks using planes or hijackings. Should I go on oh one more thing Vicente Fox would be running for President too as 40 million Mexicans flood our country after Gore signs an open border deal with him.

The biggest problem with most of the world is they know that we are the biggest, most free and that we have the tendency to be the most ferocious country in the history of the world.

Well look at the 90's, I imagine it would be like that. Not too bad. Still need to work on supporting human rights in various places. But not too bad as a whole. Our reputation would be nothing like it is today.
