That WILL have played football? Maybe, but I don't think so. Right now, he is probably has the best arm, and is the best playaction guy (although doesn't the running back doing the playaction also have to be good at selling it in order for it to work?). But Tom Brady is definitely the best game manager, and I mean that as a complement. When it is crunchtime, Brady reaches that rare "Jordan" level where he just makes the play to win the game. Just when you think Peyton Manning is unstoppable, he is losing 21-3 to the Steelers at home in the playoffs. Until Manning reaches the Jordan level, where you know he is going to win, there is no alternative, it is going to happen, he will not be close to the best quarterback.

WTF??? Don't compare Favre to P. Manning. Manning is the highest Rate QB to ever play the game and he WILL break every single Favre record barring injury Favre is good, but not as good as P. Manning, tom brady, steve young, joe montana The only reason Favre has broken those records is because he's so old Don't forget he has the NFL record for most interceptions IMO P. Manning is the best QB to ever play the game. He has basically carried the Colts offense by himself since 1998

At this point in time, he does not have #1 credentials. You usually need to win a championship to be considered the best. Look at the names of some of the other greats. Elway, Farve, Young, Montana, Namath, Staubach, and Unitas are all legends. Manning may very well be considered among these great players in the future, but I think it is far too soon to say the best of all time.

I don't know about all time but I do think that he is in either the top 5 or the top 10 of all time when it comes to quarterbacks in the NFL.

At the rate he's going, he'll be in the top 10, but not number 1, not yet anyways, let's see how his career winds up. You really can't tell until his career is over.

No, not until he can win the big one! He may end up with the best stats ever, but ask Jim Kelly if he would trade his stats for a Super Bowl win?
