You just have to take a deep breath and go for it, there is always the risk that he will say no, but then without any risk where is the gain! Take the chance and go for it.

I would ask myself a few questions first. 1. Would I regret if I didn’t ask 2. What is the worst thing that could happen 3. If it did happen is there other alternatives (there are billions of people in the world) . After completely accepting these I would probably do the following.
I would have him and some friends over for a get together ( People you both know in common.) From there interact on a subject you both enjoy…. And then ask if he would like to go do that subject.

Ask him out on a friendly date! Ask him to go to the movies, out to eat, or just to hang out with friends. Going to places like that will ease up the tention that I am sure that you both would be feeling and would give you something to talk about. If he likes you,it will show! Just be friendly, and flirtatious ( not overboard though!) and things should work out smoothly! I have tried this before and it has worked. Besides, the worst thing that he could say is no, and you want to find that out now so that you can move on! Life is too short!

Well, Sara, you could try simply asking him to do something in an innocent way. Think of a movie he might want to see and suggest him going with you. Make it sound like a friendly night at the movies--not a date. Be sweet to him. No man can resist that.

Most guys will be impressed and blown away that you are asking them out. Society tell them that its the "man's" job to be asked out.
I actually asked out my boyfriend (we have been dating for 4 years now) and he said that he was flattered that I was asking him. Just wear some lip gloss and walk up to him, flash him one of your killer smiles and ask him what hes doing this weekend. Then bring up something he is interested in, like a basketball game or maybe a concert to a band he likes. Who would refuse something like that? Then have a good time and see if you guys have something going on. Key is, do to him as you would want done to you. How would you want a guy to ask you out?

first thing first, me as a guy knows this, if anything is more annoying is girls asking the guys out, because all the girls girlfriends beg you to go out with them, well sometimes, anyway don't ask him out, but do flirt with him if you want to that is ok, because then he will get the hint and ask you out

If you're positive he feels the same way about you, wait a little while for him to reveal his feelings or just go ahead and tell him how you feel.

Ya never know unless you try.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
So: smile.
Then walk up and say it.
If he says no, then you haven't lost what you never had, but oh...if he says yes!

just ask him, the worst thing that could happen is he would say no. If you think he likes you, he probably does.

Tell him how you feel...If he likes you too then great! If not you'll be sad, but you'll get over it. BUT! if you never tell him you'll never know whether he likes you or not.
