1- get a new job
2- dig up any other interest or hobbies you may have and try to give it the steering wheel.
3- here is a method i use: CHEAT! , cheat the heck out of any game you play so that it would boil down to a boring chore and expose its self as the silly waste of time that it is.
4- visualize everyday that the game has no positive impact on your life and that it is a cruel horrendous waste of life span and that it is only a collection of lights and sounds and binary digits and nothing healthy to be involved in since anything that makes you sit for hours in front of a flickering screen with no end result or redeemable value is just plain evil.
5- another effective method is to replace it with another distraction that you can manage to lose your self into and you'll see how easy it is to change the tracks on your train.
6- aversion therapy i.e. electric shocks or any painful thing to be done to self when the urge to play arrives.

Find something better to do, seriously. Not a "funny" remark, see if you can do some other activity that will take up the time that you use for online gaming

You must delete your account or drop all of your stuff on your game and you will be so mad you quit or you just force yourself to not play.
