Democrat congressman Mel Reynolds , convicted of 12 counts of sexual assault , obstruction of justice & solicitation of child pornography in 1995 ; but thanks to Bill Clinton , only served 42 months of his sentence . Why ? Clinton knew what reynolds did . The person who held on to Foley's disgusting Instant messages for 3 years until recently giving them to ABC news , was not thinking about the protecting the pages . That person is as guilty as Foley for aiding & abetting . It sure wasn't a Republican playing politics . Foley would have been out on his dumb ear long ago , otherwise . Past examples regarding sexual misconduct , as well as a convicted sex offender who solicited child pornography . have gone rewarded by the Clinton Administration . No wonder the Foley incident was aparently used as "the prize before the election". Disgusting .

Technically Mr. Reynolds served his entire sentence for the sexual assault charges. Clinton did not issue a pardon for those crimes but did commute his sentence for bank fraud charges- allowing him to serve the balance of his sentence in a half way house. Again he did all of the prison time for the assault conviction. What concerns me is that someone may have known about ongoing crime being committed by Foley and chose not to reveal them and prevent future crimes from occurring. The fact is that there is plenty of misbehavior and hypocrisy to go around among both parties and trying to associate any of it with a particular party is not only foolish, but allows this kind of behavior to continue, and deprives us of the kind of leaders we deserve.

I agree with you- and don't forget Clinton's own immoral and disgusting sex with an intern, and his well documented womanizing (including using force and coercion) as Governor of Arkansas.

The moral outrage was loudly voiced by the Republicans in Congress, but after squandering ALL their credibility over a bloowjob impeachment, nobody really listened to them.

Just like nobody should be really listening to you!

You have a good point...But, I can guarantee you that whichever party I vote for will not win my vote because of sexual activity. The way I see it they are dead even on that one.

To me that is just as disgusting as GW Bush calling himself a Vietman War Hero recently in a speech on CNN when it has been repeatedly proven that GW Bush failed to show up for his final physical to go to Viet Nam and has YET to serve as a soldier in a war

They are all crooked so put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!
