I'm sick and tired of being called Goth, i'm not a friggin Goth...
does anyone else experience this insult??

I get called gothic all the time by people that have no taste in culture and are so into their sports and appearence that they are an old looking, wrinkly teenager. Don't worry bout it though cuz eventually all those people will kill themselves with many unanswered questions in their life.

well actually the emo trend followed on from the gothic 'thing' and the goths werent too happy about this. I just find it quiet sad how you feel forced to label yourself as an emo instead as your name. It may be the fact that you are insecure with yourself but i dont know, after all i have never met you so i cannot say for certain but can u really name more than 5 differences between goths and emos that doesnt involove the change in music. oh and emos arent sexy. They are disturbingly thin and if emos are so emotional who would ever want to be with an emotion mess of insecurity. Its really just rather rubbish.

I am proud to be an educated oldie who knows that Emo is most certainly not Goth...thanks to my daughter and don;t think I would mistake Emo for Goth even if she hadn't told me...its so obvious...so NO YOU ARE NOT MOST DEFINATELY NOT GOTH..ok?

What is a goth? Unless you like the cure or fields of nephilim your not a goth anyway.

And emos most certainly are not goths.
What gets me is the confusion between punk and goth.
I am a punk, not a goth.
I know how you feel.
People really do need to stop confusing these things.

big difference between emo and goth. i'vebeen called goth but i don't really care. i dress the way i dress and who cares what people say or think.

so i guess EMO does stand for EMOTIONAL. One day you'll go up and when you do, you'll undertsand.......until then, I think itd be funny to get a shirt that says "I"M EMO NOT GOTH". that way everyone will be clear on what you are.

i would think goths would be offended if they are called emos, i dont think people like to be labled as masochists, except emos of course. Mine as well worship the devil if your going to commit suicide, cuz you know where your going, buddy.
