Nuh Adrain Peterson, Steve Slaton and Pat White all have better chances.
Troy Smith ain't no Vince Young. The only reason he's getting mentioned is because he's a Ohio State quarterback.
Check his stats. He ain't nutting.

Okay, to get started i am a Ohio state fan my self but troy smith isn't putting up numbers like Northern Illinois's running back Garrett Wolfe he averages 9.3 yards a carry and has 1181 yards in 5 games and 11 rushing touchdown a receiving touchdown and 300 yards receiving.. and two of those games are loses this kids amazing, the talent he carries and the leadership ability is amazing next time you see a Northern Illinois game on TV watch this kid he is a senior this is his best year. i am saying he is gonna win the Heisman trophy so keep a look out

I think it's a little early still, but Troy Smith is definitely the front-runner right now. I do have to give to one Mr. Garrett Wolfe, and also Adrian Peterson. I think Troy Smith will win, not because of his numbers, and I know he has alot of talent around him, but I praise him for his poise, and composure to win the big game. Hes' 10-1 against ranked opponents.

and its Heisman not Hiesman or Hysman. Anyways. No is the answer. He has too many players around him that make him look good. Take someone that has shown, by themsleves, that they can change the game. Example: Brady Quinn, or Garrett Wolfe from NIU, or Adrian Peterson or even Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech who is having an amazing year for a wide reciever.

No. I say the Cal QB Nate Longshore has better numbers in an equally difficult conference, but we'll see how he handles a top ranked team this weekend vs. Oregon. So far, he's got my vote.

he deserves to win the Heisman trophy. he is the best in NCAA and forget about that Brady Quinn, i don't think he is no longer in the polls because they are playing like a non-ranked team now. another person who deserves is Ted Ginn Jr.
