okay it is easier being a gay man or lesbian woman. I think it is easier for a woman to be a lesbian rather than guy be gay. i'm straight or at least i think i am. i've noticed gay guys get mocked and picked on more than lesbian girls. can you answer this question for me or would you mind sharing an experience you encountered, for instance, discrimination?

God says you are right. In todays society no-one looks twice at two girls holding hands, or even two girls giving each other a friendly kiss in greeting. Maybe it has to do with straight guys fantasies as to why it is more acceptable. And God knows even you have had them.

I agree with you. I do believe that it is more socially acceptable to be a lesbian than it is to be a gay man. I think it has a lot to do with our society today. Guys are supposed to be the care takers, womanizers, macho, etc. It's acceptable for men to sleep with as many women as possible, but it's not okay for a woman to sleep with many different men. It's the same old double standard that has always existed. It's unfair, but that is the way it is.
I'm a bisexual woman by the way. And I haven't ever had anyone personally mock or pick on me for it, but I have known severel gay men that have been.

I don't like to play "hierarchy of oppression" and say that one is "better" or "worse". You are correct that they are different though. Lesbians face more issues of invisibility (because the patriarchical society still doesn't want to condone homosexuality, but straight men think lesbians are "hot"), whereas gay men face more overt resistance. Both of those statements are sweeping generalizations, and don't ALWAYS hold true of course.

it is easier for a girl to be a lesbian because thats hot to guys and guys being gay is nasty, someone told me its because guys are hairy and girls have smooth bodies.

you know how girls can do everything boys do, but boys cant do what girls do? maybe that's why. if your a boy you're supposed to be tough, not girly and if your a girl it doesn't matter and a lot of people think that lesbos are sexy.
