I read your profile - sounds like you have two things happening - you have sinus pressure plus you are getting used to the altitude. You're much higher up than when youi were in Florida, the adaptation can take a while.
See a doctor or nurse practitioner at the campus health center about what excercises you can do to help your blood flow (low blood oxygen can be a high altitude issue) and what they suggest to clear your sinus congestion.
Once you get more used to the altitude, takes some trips into the mountains - you'll never want to leave!

Yeah, I love in the end is correct. Never stand up too fast, the blood rushing to your head will make you super dizzy and you may fall over. Take it slow, do some deep breathing exercises and relax. As far as the ringing goes, everyone I know has experienced it, nothing to be alarmed about :) It's pretty normal.

Well it sounds to me that you have a touch of otitis media, an infection of the middle ear. Our ears play an important role in equilibrium or balance. Damage to certain parts of the ear for example make it impossible for us to stand without loosing balance or feeling dizzy. I would suggest that you make an appointment with your primary care physician or contact your nearest urgent care center and have your ears checked asap. The longer you wait, the longer the recovery time will be. Hope you feel better soon. . . Good Luck

I honestly believe something is happening due to looking at the computer monitor too much. I have experienced similar problems. Also, you may be slightly anemic. you may have poor circulation. Drink ginko tea, exercise more and make sure to always drink plenty of water. It is difficult for me, but we really need to limit how long we look at the computer screen too.Unless something more serious is going on, that should make the problem go away...

I have experienced it to. Sometimes its caused by nerves in the brain that act up when you stand too fast and your vision may act up because your brain waves are connected to youe eyes, but for better reasurence I would go to a doctor.

It's not good for you to blow your nose - it can force mucus into your sinuses and ears and make your cold much worse. You are better off sniffing it back and either spitting it out or swallowing it - its sounds gross, but its how your nose is meant to work. Sneezing is fine, but don't block your nose when you do it.

i do have this problem! i have had it since i was little.
one time i even passed out and ended up laying on the kitchen floor.
my doctor said it was from enemia (however that is spelled) which is low iron level. i started eating more green vegetables and the problem has cleared up for the most part.

I had the dizziness part, after standing up; it was there for a couple months and then it went away, by itself - I just realized earlier today :).
