That is so sad. It hurts all involved. It's no excuse but sounds like that woman was just trying to convince herself and hoping that maybe the father was actually the one she originally claimed. At least the child didn't find out when she was 38 years old like my friend did. It devastated her family.

Maybe she was scared and confused early on so she lied about it out of desperation and then it was too late OR maybe she is just a very dishonest person who doesn't care who she hurts. It is difficult to even guess what would motivate the mom without actually knowing them. Questions like this are difficult to answer objectively.

some women are not sure and want to keep it hid,until the child start looking like the other guy.then they want to have a test done or they just wait until they get mad and say the baby aint yours.I think it's just cruel to do someone like that.

She may have thought that she was in love with the guy she was with. then she may not have cared who took the responsibility as long as someone did .It all depends on the woman.

pure meaness. she probably wasnt getting what she need from him and latched on to one current one and lied to fullfill her needs. thank God for DNA testing.
