I have dark hazel eyes (mostly brown)...what color eyeliner would u say would look the best?
and what are some good long lasting brands...thanks sooo much!

pencil is much better--if you mess up, you can smudge it in, but with liquid...forget it.

You could use almost anything with Hazel eyes. Brown, gray, plum, even a dark blue. I like using Rimmel pencils because I can control the amount I use. I sometimes use liquid if I want a really want a bold dramatic effect. And with pencils there are more colors to choose from, and I can smudge and wear a pencil alone without shadow. There are so many pencil brands to choose from and I recommend a good sharpener. Good luck.

I have brownish hazel eyes as well. I like using a gel or liquid eyeliner on the upper lid (Bobbi Brown Cobalt or MAC Macroviolet) and a black pencil on the lower lid (Rimmel Soft Kajal or Deluxe Nilla Black) depending on whether I want a soft smudged look or dark thick line.
Brown eyes look great with most colors but I noticed that when I apply a blue-toned color like Cobalt, it makes the whites of the eyes look very bright and sparkly.
Macroviolet on the other hand highlights the color of the iris, so it makes my eyes look lighter.

The color black would work best for the most part. But u can use any color u want. If u have not used liquid stick to a pencil. Liquid u must have a steady hand for it. U can go to Wal-Greens, CVS, Wal-mart, Target. Most pencils last on your eyes a long time. If u want to invest more money into them then get to the mall at any make-up counter.

Use a bronzy color or dark purple pencil eyeliner. I have the same color eyes and they both look awesome. Pencil is good for everyday use, but if you want a more dramatic look, get a Physician's Formula Felt Tip Eyeliner at the drugstore. It's liquid but it's super easy to apply and smudges pretty well too.

I usually use pencil...it's a lot easier... but I do use liquid eveyonce in a while... just because it's a bit darker... it all depends on what you want... also since your eyes are brown/hazel... I would stick to brown and green eyeliner... but it's all up to you

I prefer liquid to pencil on lining the tops of your eyes, and if you are going for a smoother look. (smooky look, use pencil) As for what color, that depends on your makeup, hair color, and skin tone.
I have green eyes, with olive skin and dark hair.So my color of choice is black because of my dark hair. If you are blond, or red i would go for browns.
And persoanlly, my fave liner of all is Fluidline by mac. You have to buy a liner brush to go with it, but it is water proof, lasts longer than your average liquid, and you can do more than just line your eyes. It comes in I do belive 18 plus colors. So you have LOTS to chose from.
And for pencil, I prefer Elizabeth arden to any other. Use their basic pencil though. It blends the best, and if applied right, looks liquid as its finished product.

Well I have brown eyes and what looks best on me (and all my friends that have brown/hazel eyes) is brown or black pencil eyeliner!

ONLY USE LIQUID IF YOU KNOW HOW!!! Never use cheap eyeliner if you are over 25. They tug on your eye and cause wrinkles.. Use the ones that turn out like an inkpen. Mary Kay has a great eyeliner.

i have dark brown eyes - i was wearing brown eyeliner pencil but u couldn't tel i had it on
now i wear black eyeliner on the top eyelid - an it looks good it enhances my Asian looking eyes& my husband likes it he says its hot an he likes how it enhances those exoctic features i have ; liquid never has worked for me and i have tried all the cheap ones to the expensive ones in the stores like macy's 7 dillard- clinique, mac, fashion fair, lancome
the best pencil liner for eyes i have found is: Rimmel black eye & eyebrow liner
the best eyebrow pencil: Posner cocoa brown it goes on like eye shadow

Althought its kind of expensive, i use the Sephora Pencil Eyeliner. I think it's great, longlasting and neat.
Im not really a big fan or liquid, cause it can get in your eyes or all over the place. and i have contacts so yeah..
