A friend of mine is selling skin care and makeup. She gave me a very expensive case of full size products for me to sample. First of all, I do not even use these types of skin products. Second, I can not afford them. I'd like to give the case back to my friend so she can sell it to somebody else but I do not want to hurt her feelings. What would you do? Have you ever had a friend who was selling something that you just didn't want?

I would never lie to my friend.

I agree with everyone else. There's no need to say you don't use those type of things as that might hurt her feelings but just say it's really too expensive for you. Thank her and be nice about them but just be honest and she'll understand.

Well, you should have given it back to her when she gave it to you. You could have told her that your skin is very sensitive & you've tried other products & only what you currently use doesn't irritate your skin. Now you're going to have to come up with a better lie than that unless you just want to be honest with her.
If she's a friend she should understand that you do not use the things she gave you, and that you can't afford the stuff.

Why should you feel that you might hurt her feelings? She was bold enough to dump that stuff on you. Simply keep the conversation straight up and tell her exactly what you told us. If she is any kind of a friend she won't take offense.

At least try one of her products just so she won't feel too bad...you can be honest and say you are not interested and tht you already have a skin care product that you are using...or you can lie and tell her your skin is sensitive and you use perscription products.

just tell her what you've said here. you don't use those types of products and besides that you can't afford it. if she is a true friend, she'll understand.

I think that you should let your friend know how you feel because if she finds out later on she might be offended and hold it against. If you come out in teh open and let her know now then she should understand how you feel because she is your friend. I thinkt hat you should do it sooner then later because she might be offended if it is later and no body wants to offend their friends.
