1) Multiply / divide first, then add / subtract second.

7) Now complete the addition / subtraction of the numbers on the left side. The equation should now look like this: x = + 35 - 28
8) Now complete the addition / subtraction of the numbers on the right side of the equation. Since + 35 - 28 equals 7, then x = 7.

x/7=-4+5
X/7=1
give the 1 a denominator so you can cross multiply
x/7=1/1
x=7

add the 5 to both sides then you divide each side by whats left over which is 7 and anything dividing by a number larger than it is a fraction so its 1/7
