No. They are no more than an average side and there are a few of these in the premiership. I do not think they score enough goals. Defoe is not a prolific goal scorer and although I like Robbie Keane he blows hot and cold. They may sneak into Europe from time to time but inconsistency will prevent them challenging the likes of Chelsea Man Utd Arsenal and Liverpool. I saw the great spurs side which won the double. Very good team who played very good football. None of the present spurs side would have gotten into that team.

gonna start by saying i'm a hammer so really i should be saying no you're crap lol but after sunday performance against an on form pompy it looks promising. I know west ham aint excatly on the best run after loosing 5 on the go but at least the spurs players are looking like they want it! Defoe just needs to start scoring again to boost his confidence a bit. On paper spurs should be up there but it never works like that does it?

Was gonna leave this answer without any abuse but someone said jew so cant let my side down YIDDDDOOOOO

I think there is a UEFA cup-Upper table syndrome as of late.

First you look at Middlesborough last season. A year after making the UEFA cup and finishing in a good order, they had a miserable Premiership season and had to battle relegation, though they did make the UEFA cup final.
West Ham after coming up last season, are out of the UEFA cup and are fighting relegation.
Now I am not comparing Tottenham to these sides, but they do seem to have the same qualities. I think perhaps the squad had more desire last year before they had a pretty good success and just missed out on the Champions league. Now this year with Europe, what do they have to fight for? Add to that Carrick was lost to United and he was in the center of the pitch, really influencing the games with his passing and touch. Zokora while he is adapt at defending has yet to replace him. Tottenham has also not really found anyone on the left side. They went for and lost out on Duff.

Overall Tottenham is too good to get relegated, i predict they will get things turned around but be finishing mid table. They just have to get things with their defense and offense working again.

Another Hammers fan who should be abusing you, but who has decided not to.

I think you can be up there... you have a young talented team, with players in key positions due to improve... of course with Chelsea buying their way to success, there's no way ANYONE else can actually win the thing.

Zokora, King, Lennon, Berbatov, Steed, Robbie Keane, Defoe and Robinson are all yet to hit their peak, with none of them older then 26

For sure yes. You have to look at their shots on target to realise, that they haven't had their share of goals, for the total shots they had. This will correct itself soon, it always does and Spurs will climb up the table.

Of course they aren't gonna win the title, but they will have a healthy campaign on all fronts.

Spurs will always be a gutless mid table club, you can't make silk purses from pigs ears and jews know nothing about football.

You need to have a good attitude. right now, the manager is happy with a 5th place finish or something like that. If he plays the team like he wants to win the premiership then its quite likely that they might challenge for it. However, i doubt that they'll ever beat man u
