my close friends that i trust. It's hard to keep something important or painful to yourself, and everyone needs someone to confide in. Find someone you really trust, and talk to them. A true friend wont judge

A good secret or a bad secret?
It depends on what the secret is. At the moment I'm suffering from an illness and I would like to tell a couple of my friends just so I could have some support. But at the same time I know that if they know they'll make a big deal out of it and treat me differently so I'm not telling them. So I think it all depends on how you think they'll react. If you're going to tell them because it will be beneficial and they'll react well then I would tell them but if you think that actually you just want to tell them because you can't keep your mouth shut and you might regret it later then I wouldn't.
At the moment my advice is if in doubt don't tell. In the words of my granny: "you never have to unsay anything you didn't say to begin with".

Depends on three things. 1- Who the friends are. Certain friends I'll tell different things than other friends, not because I like one of them more, but just because of their personality differences. 2- What kind of secret? Like, will it hurt my friends? Will my friends not take it seriously? Will they spread it around? 3- How will it affect them? Like, is it something that could possibly offend them? If I told it to them and they told it to someone else, would it be the worst thing in the world if someone ELSE knew?

word of advice: if you want a secret to stay a secret, don't tell anybody.
if you really feel like you need to get it out, there's a website called mysecret.tv where you can confess your secrets anonymously.

It would have to depend on the friends. Now that I am an adult I probably would because I know they love and care for me and even if they had to tell someone else it would be because they loved me. When I was a teen I don't think so.

It depends on what the secret is. If its something your friends deserve to know and should know, then you should tell them.
