Why is Eminent Domain so incredibly horrible if the government is buying your property against your will, but it's fine to force our children to go to Iraq year after year against their will.

Is it because conservatives don't care about our children, just their property. I feel real good knowing that our leaders will protect property rights above our children's lives, don't you?

Eminent Domain mainly effects urban areas where trashy homes are purchased for revitalization.

As stated already, no one is forced to go to Iraq. We have an all volunteer army, and it's been that way for decades.

Eminent Domain is a concern to Conservatives and Liberals alike, but it became a much bigger issue with the Kelo v. New London decision. Most people would agree that Eminent Domain is sometimes necessary to prevent a few holdouts from preventing the construction of some public work, like a highway, or a new school.

With the Kelo decision though, property can be taken not just for public USE, but for any public BENEFIT. Kelo says it's okay for your town to buy your house and sell it to anyone who says they will pay more taxes. State Governments all across the nation are moving to prevent that type of abuse in the future.

Silly question. Why do democrats support the murder of unborn children, yet want don't want to reform social security, thus leaving the children of today without a secure future? See, I can ask a question that ties two unrelated topics together. The difference is I know it is a bad question. 2 pts.

BTW, nobody is happy to send soldiers into a war, except death loving fanatics, islamic terrorists.

I see the connection if we had a forced draft. And that could happen in the near future.

I have seen some big land grabs over ED San Jose CA has a long term plan for a urban green zone. They have done every thing imaginable to seize small business owners land.

uh because the army is made up of volunteers? Defintion: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=volunteer
Pay attention to number four.

Besides the two issues are not the same. I could say to a neighbor, "Hey, why do you yell at me for my dog's barking when you send your kids to a public school?"

One has nothing to do with the other...

And, people going to war are going of their own free will-- We have an all volunteer military. You would have to be incredibly stupid not to realize that one day, you may to go into combat.

way two different categories, dumbass. do you have someone fighting the war? I am sure if you do they'd love to hear the **** you are talking right now. My boyfriend was there and my brother in law is currently there so please be a little more respectful about the words you use "sending them to die".

What the hell. Soldiers join knowing they are risking their lives. Anybody who chooses to join the military knows they may go to war. They CHOOSE to go. No one forces them to join.
