Multiply
(x - (2+i))(x - (2-i))
This will be a polynomial with real coefficients.
Divide your original polynomial by the one you just found (use long division). This will leave with a quadratic polynomial. From there you can either factor or use the quadratic formula.

product of x-(2+i) and x-(2-i) is x^2-4x+5. when u divide the given eqn by this one,the resultant is x^2-5x+6. So the real solutions are 2 and 3
