It isn't advisable to do too many reading at once, but for a different reason. A reader in some sense interacts with the "energies" of the cards, personalizes them. If you disregard the advice given to you repeatedly, then the personal "energies" would look at it askew. They will not punish you, simply stop responding properly. That is why many experts warn that you are not playing a card game.
On the other hand, if you have benefited in some way from the given advice, and do not ask for a reading just to verify the millionth time, you can have as many readings as you would like. Especially if you are practicing to be a reader yourself. Then, since practice is the key, the more readings you give and get, the better.
Hope that helps.

What you said is not true. Having multiple card readings will only be a waste of time and money. the tarot will help to reveal what needs to be reveled. You will get the same reading over and over again. the cards are meant as advice or guidelines. you have to live your life and make your own decisions. Eventually the cards will not work for you. Using the tarot readings to determine every decision you make in your life is idiotic. Live your life don't let some cards determine how you live.

I have refused to give readings to people for the same reason. They need the cards to make the desicion for them. Again a waste of time and money.

Mm, I wouldn't say the act of reading is what blocks the positive things; I think, in line with what many have said here, too many readings on the same question all at once can cause problems, but I'd say it's more to do with what your mental state would be in order to be so concerned about something that you'd read on it repeatedly. If that's the case, is weighing heavily enough on your mind that worrying about it that much probably means you should try and think about something else for a bit--give youself a break.

The act of reading a fortune (using ANYTHING, including tarot) changes the outcome in much the same way as measuring/monitoring changes the outcome of an experiment.

If you read once for a question you have therefore changed the outcome in a tiny but significant way-- think: The person, knowing the outcome (or being relatively sure, anyway) behaves differently after the reading. This in turn affects the time line.

If one reading for a question affects the outcome of the question, then ten readings are bound to have a much more noticeable effect.

When doing readings for a client I will ask them to wait for a couple of weeks at least before I read again for the same question. (If they want to ask a different question then that's ok!)

I hope this was helpful! :)

I think it may be time to ask yourself, "what am I really looking to answer here?" Do I really want to know? What is really going on here? The big picture in your life? What are you biggest fears? I think you may need to face these right now, reaching deep within yourself, letting go of the crutch, that these cards seem to have provided. Postive things are not going to be blocked so to speak, but energy is energy, and by reading the cards over and over, and over and over, it would be wise to be aware, that some of you, just may be developing a self induced psychosis. Be careful. Any repititon over and over, just for the sake of doing it............without really having "faith in" or "just letting things be"........ can only lead to confusion, and possibly obsessive compulsive behavioral tendancies. The last thing that a healthy individual needs to do is to become completely dependant on a psychic "tool" (tarot cards, or any other means of scrying),and loose all awareness of their own personal and individual power.
These cards are just a tool, when used wisely then can be invaluable, when used foolishly, they can be a hinderance, as many of you have experienced. I would say to my clients, as I say to you, that a card reading a few times a year is sufficient, four or five times at most, unless a big event should occur in their lives, and more direction is needed in order for them to more easily contine on their journey through life.

I've studied all that crazy stuff. "Playing" with these things like they are games does weaken the power and lets negative energy
in.
People make too much out of this stuff.
A reading is made at that point in time, and is based on where
a person is heading. It dioesn't dictate what will happen.
You can make choices to get around bad things, and might even
mess up good things.
It's a learning experience. But don't turn into your religion,

No it is not true. But keep in mind you are asking the universe to answere your question. Wouldnt you be irritated if you got asked the same question by the same person all the time!?

If you believe it, it will happen, if you don't it won't.
If you base your life on card readings, you're in for a rough one!
