I live in the God-awful state of Texas (no offense but this move here to Texas has been a living freakin NIGHTMARE!!) Is there ANYTHING I can do legally short of small claims court to get the stuff back? The Limestone county sheriffs department WILL not help me. Also my Mom and Step-Dad NEVER told me to Stay off their property. They simply said I could not have anything back ever. Please help me!!! if anyone knows anything please let me know! Since I have not been warned to stay away could I just roll up there and get my stuff?? They cannot Identify ANYTHING of mine! it is all packed up in boxes and rubbermaid containers.

Take 1-35 south to Killeen. Get some thugs and drive back up there. They can help you....

or Call Anna Nicole Smith she's from Mexia. Maybe she can help.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is from Harker Heights ask her for help.

Call the President. He's in Crawford. If he won't help ask Cindy Sheehan. That crazy b*tch doesn't have anything else better to do.

GOD BLESS TEXAS!

how old are you. This makes a difference. If it is stuff that they have got you then you have no chance of getting it. If you are less than 18 then you are still thiers and your stuff is too. If you are 18 or over and do not live with them then you may ned to go to court. The said stuff still should be things that you got on your own.

If the police department isn't helping you (which in this case I think they should at least hear you out and give you some options), I really think all you can do it file a claim for court and see if the judge sides with you or go to a mediator and see if your folks will mediate with you for the items in question.

So much for mending family ties though! That bridge seems awfully burned. Sorry for your situation.

Why won't the sherriff's department help you? Try contacting the politicians - it really sucks, what happened to you, but unless you have reciepts to prove the stuff is yours you may not be able to force them to give anything to you - that's the law in most places. Can anyone else in your family help? An aunt or uncle, or siblings?

I hope you get your stuff back.

Yes! I would go there and get my stuff if that is a possibility. You can't break in however. If they call the police the sheriff will have to do something. He can't let them keep your stuff once he comes to the house. He will just have to stand there while you load it up.

If I were you I would wait until they were not there and go get my stuff. They can't legally hold your things like that anyways.
Do they have anything that states you owe them or they loaned you anything if not then you need to have the authorities ride with you there or you just go when they are not there
Good Luck!

Hate to pop your coochie, but there's a lot more going on here than you're telling.
First - what is your age?
Secondly - exactly WHAT stuff did they take?

Stay off their property, hmmm. You weren't living with them?
So am I being led to believe that they broke into your residence and stole your belongings?
I'm not sure which way to lean here hon. More details needed.

I will be glad to share everything I own with you.

Come to Georgia, let's start our own happy home, and when step-dad comes a'sniffin' 'round, we'll double team him and throw him down the well.

Just leave it all behind, the troubles and the agonies.

How old are you, and how many things have your parents done for you that you don't appreciate? Material posessions are all replacable. Go on with your life, tell them they can donate your stuff to charity, and get on with your life.

It looks like your only recourse is small claims or just count it as a loss.
