i was reading about the salem witch trials wich is one of my favorite topics in history along with the holocaust and i was jsut wondering.

One was a town
and the other one a village.

Sorry, I just had that in me,
so I just had to say it.
I'm remember reading once, it was the amount of
people who lived in them. Under 100 was a village,
over 100 was a town. And it was the amount of
business and shops that decided if one was a
town or village. Lots of places would change their
name from Village to Town, if the place got larger
with people and business. Hope this helps.
