Oh certainly, I can do that.
You know it has been a long time since I had that.
These days I have a pretty good job,
and the people of our community are doing
pretty good also.
But years ago we had little.
Lots of us worked at any kind of job we could find.
Some of the rich farmers they grew grapes and berries.
If you were lucky enough to get a job working
for one of the rich farmers, maybe some of the job
they gave you would be crushing the grapes and
berries at harvest time.

To crush the berries and grapes for jellies and wines
the workers poured lots and lots of berries into a big
wooden vat, maybe six feet across, and sometimes
two feet deep, even three feet deep. Then the lucky
workers would take off their shoes, roll up their pants
legs, and step over into the vat. We would walk around and around crushing the grapes and berries with our
bare feet. As we walked we would tell stories and sing
the old songs that everyone knew very well. After the work ended, the juice was sent to the farmer's kitchen for processing, and the hulls and seeds went to the back of the barn for the hogs and chickens.

When we went home at night we could stay up for hours licking the accumulated juices and grape meat particles off of our feet and legs for a special meal. I think that is where the idea of your word Toe Jam came from. And,
in case you were wondering, it was very good Amigo.
