That's not odd; its great. Don't let anyone tell you that you have to change when you hit a certain age. All you have to do is grow alittle more than you were previously. Why get rid of the playful child, when you can add more to him/her???
Besides... true fun & happiness is a valuable item in this world. I am still trying to understand how we are working 1000-times more effective now than 50-years ago, but have less free time for ourselves.

Pish.....you're never too old to play in the rain. I'm 25 and every time it rains I turn into a 3 year old, I put my coat and grubby shoes and go puddle stomping. Oh, and forget about getting me inside if there's thunder and lightning (I live in southern cali so I very rarely get to see lightning). My boyfriend thinks it's the cutest thing ever, whenever it rains I drag on his arm and make him come out and play in the rain with me. I think you are just trying to enjoy nature at it's best and there is absolutely nothing weird or odd about playing in the rain. Enjoy life, have fun and don't get hit by lightning.

Not at all. About two years ago I had to go get my mom out of the rainy street because she was prancing around like it was a sunny day. She said she was a ballerina. That was strange for her but I don't think it's odd at all for others to do it. I didn't know that there was an age limit to having a good time.

I guess it depends on what kind of playing he's doing. If he is jumping around and splashing in the puddles then you need to ask a psyochologist. If he's sitting out in the rain trying to get some drops of rain in his mouth is still isn't normal but I guess a lot of people do that.

No. Why is it odd to play in the rain? It is just what ever your personal preference is to what constitutes as normal.

Odd, sure, as most people of that age do not play in the rain.
But it expresses a youthfulness and embrace of nature that most people of that age do not feel. So overall it's a net positive.
