In the United States their are two separate registries of Angus cattle, black and red. many other countries just have one registry for both. Their are certain allowances of some white on the udder of the cattle, but Angus cattle cannot be white.

Nearly all Angus cattle are black, although a very few are white. Red Angus cattle do occur as the result of a recessive gene, and are treated as a separate breed in the United States with separate breed associations.
