in 15 and turning 16 in march, i want to save up money and buy a motorcycle by the time i can get a motorcycle licence, how old do you have to be ??

Depends on what state ya live in! In NY & most states the age is 16 but there are a few states that you can be 15, only I don't know which!

As everyone else has said, it depends on the state. In Texas, you can get a moped license at 15 with no driving test, a motorcycle license that is limited to a 250cc engine at 15 with completion of driver's education and and approved MSF motorcycle rider's course, or an unlimited motorcycle license at 16 with completion of driver's education and and approved MSF motorcycle rider's course.

15 1/2 is all you need to be to buy a motorcycle so i would think 15 1/2 is the age for a license

ok i think it depends on the state but in michigan where i got mine you have to be 18 to take the driving test but i took a riding class and then they let me get it at 16 and also i got about half off my insurrance too :-). the class was only a weekend and was fun it cost about $100 to take it. it was not hard i dont think the instructors failed a single person and there where people there that had never riden before. oh and they provided motorcycles for the riding part of the class little 100cc bikes.

15-1/2 in Ohio to get your permit. You must take a rider course and be 16 to get your license.

Well it depends on what state you live in. For example here in Nevada you can ride a scooter without a licence.
As long as the scouter is big eneff to ride it on the street.
A 49cc scooter is big eneff to ride it here.
You dont need insurance, a licence, and all you do need is a helmet.

It depends on the state, many times though 16: check your local states DMV (department of motor vehicles) for the most accurate info, they probably have a website

I would think the same applies for one set license as the other i would think 16. The best thing to do is to call your police and or sheriffs office where they issue them !!
