Massachusetts. IT like the south mentality wise the further north you get into the state. It's like being in the 50's. Also, the car insurance is ridiculous because you have to have insurance to get your car registered, and it's expensive. There are no jobs in this state. AND IT'S ALWAYS RAINING!

I've only lived in Indiana and Texas. When I left indiana it was because the job market was terrible, this was in the early 80's.
I've never yet regretted moving to the Lonestar State. In all fairness Indiana has improved over the last decade.
Once Toyota opened operations just north of Evansville the town has really improved.
I once considered trying to get on at Toyota but realized I had secure ties down here.

The worst state I ever lived in was Nevada-very ugly place, lots of bad stuff happening. Nevada is the # 1 state in the union for domestic and child abuse, along with suicide......all that crap going on there...guess it's no reason why...people need to find better things to do besides wasting all their $$$$$ on gambling.

Utah.
It has some really beautiful areas, but there are so damn many mormons that it ruins the place. :( And the weather can be brutally cold in the winter and freakishly hot in the summer -- no moderation in weather or the residents.
