Why were the instant messages held for three years and then released right before election?

The republicans had told Foley not to be e-mailing pages but did not know he was such a pervert. Who had the instant messages and why had they saved them for three years.Who saves IM's anyway.I am glad the scum is gone even though it will likely cost us a seat I just want to know why whoever waited so long while the scumbag was probably still doing it.

That is odd. Apparently even the press knew about the e-mails for all these years, but didn't think it was a story. Then all of a sudden they get his IM's when they had never bothered before? It's weird. He still needs to be prosecuted and I'm not buying his AA story, but it's odd. Why did ABC news suddenly get ahold of these? Who had them originally?

It's just political gaming, nothing more. Democrats have been charging Republicans with playing political games over Iraq & Afghanistan, but here they are doing it themselves in 8-part harmony & full orchestration. They're wringing their hands and harrumphing for all they're worth, crying loudly about how much of a danger Foley represents to the White House pages, telling the pages how to be aware of perverts, demanding that he be brought up on charges immediately if not sooner, etc., etc., etc.

But ... if they really cared so much about those poor pages then why didn't they bring this to the attention of the media & the FBI when they first found out about it three years ago?

The answer is simple: the Democrats don't give a tinker's damn about anyone's interests but their own. They timed the release of this information to best serve their party's interests, pure & simple. They couldn't care less what Foley was doing or who he was doing it to, so long as they exposed him at the most convenient moment for the party.

Don't get me wrong, if Foley is guilty then he should be punished to the full extent of the child-protection laws that he helped create. But he hasn't been charged yet. However, rest assured the Democrats will continue to hound him and try him in the media until they get his seat. That, and making the Republicans look as bad as they possibly can, are the only things they care about.

The Republicans would have done the same if the shoe was on the other foot.

The shame is that not ALL that do wrong in office are given the boot. It seems that only Republicans are asked to resign and actually do so.

I believe that there was a certain Democrat that got his fingers caught in the cookie jar for 100K. He is still on the payroll or should I say payoff of the American people.

My toddlers? They both had someone to %. up after them and now they go away each little thing because it falls... i imagine my daughter is somewhat better suited. That pair have had each little thing exceeded to them - better distant places journeys than i have had - and that i'm no longer confident they were carried out a favour - both prefer to get their priorities proper and get their own properties truly of waiting on moms and dads to cark it...their grandparents lived to be very nearly 100 on their mom's aspect....
