I have many favorite books and I could go on forever with what they are about and why they are so good, but I don't want to bore you if you don't think they are interesting. I recomend my favorite books all the time and I usually get good remarx when people come back to me after having read them. Here are the greates of my favorites. You should look into them and make sure to tell me what you think if you liked them. The cheapest way to buy these books is online. Find used books that are still in good condition. I got most of my used and/or new books from B. Waldon book stores or Barnes&Nobles.

The series name:
How many books are out
Author: Type of book
The title of the first book: You can learn the rest by either looking them up in the back of the books, looking online, or asking a book store to look it up.

The Starman:
5 Books, I think there are 6 in all to come
Sara Douglass: Fantasy
"The Wayfarer Redemption"

The Symphony of Ages:
5 Books, I think there are 6 in all to come
Elizabth Haydon: Fantasy
"Rhapsody"

Harry Potter:
6 Books, there is a 7th in all to come
J.K. Rowling: Fantasy
"The Sorcerers Stone"

The Five People You Meet in Heaven:

Anne Frank: True Diary

Romeo and Juliet:
1 Book only
William Shakespear: Play

Memoirs of a Geisha:
1 Book only
Arthur Golden: Based on a true story

Able's Island:
1 Book only
William Steig: Childes fiction

The Magical Misadventures of Harold Shea:
I think there are 2 books
L. Sprague De Camp & Fletcher Pratt: Fantasy
"The Compleat Enchanter"

The Double Life of Pocahontas:
1 Book only
Jean Fritz: Based on a true story

I think there are only 2 books
Linda Lewis: Fiction
"My Heart Belongs to That Boy"

Daughters of the Moon:

All are very interesting, some you have to read past the first chapter to get interesting and it is worth it, Some have beautiful art, all have great imagery. I hope I helped you find a book to read.

I love East of Eden by John Steinbeck. It's an absolute classic, with all the familiar themes of good vs evil revamped. Completely engrossing and profoundly interesting. It's a wonderful novel.

I also loved The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It's much more recent, published within the last few years, and it's extraordinary. Much more than a mere love story, it's a love story that transcends boundaries, even boundaries of time. It's fascinating and really pulls at your emotions. A great read.

There are many more, but those are probably at the top of the list at this point.

That would have to be "Tortilla Flat", by John Steinbeck. I think he does such a good job of capturing the paisano culture and California atmosphere. Hands down, my favorite novel of all time.
