lmao Now you have asked the right question.

First you need the ip address the email was sent from. You can get this by expanding the headings on the email through the Yahoo email options if you are using Yahoo. Or figure out how to do it on other email sites.

Second you need to open a DOS command prompt.

Then you need to type: tracert (ip address here)

For example if the ip address was: 100.360.45

You would type at the c prompt: tracert 100.360.45

Then hit enter and see how many places it goes to and where it ends up.

Sometimes you just get country, sometimes it narrows down to the city or town. If it's an AOL ip address you won't get much out of it.

I think there are other more visual programs you can download to do it, but I don't know them.
