One! They will yank them right out from under you with one arrest! Then no one(in the transportation field~as a driver) will even consider you, because of insurance, for employment for at LEAST 5 years! Don't drink and drive!

The idea is that if you possess a CDL, you are a professional driver. Professional drivers are held to a professional standard, and there is NO room for that lack of discipline.
The potential for personal injury and property damage is great enough when dealing with a bullet that weighs 3000 lbs, but the guided missile that is a big rig at somewhere around 80,000 lbs can do more damage and kill more people than many realize, therefore, the higher standard.
If your DUI is over 4 years old, there are some that will hire, but you are on a VERY SHORT LEASH!
Good Luck, and don't try to prove how well you can drive if you have been drinking,even ONE drink in the last 6 hours. Even other drivers don't like to see it, because we get painted with the same brush.

1 point on your license will lose you your cdl . you can drink one beer and get tested you will lose them. highway dept doesnt play when it comes to the cdl drivers.
