well see i've been pretty... welll... depressed lately. and i want my friends help, but i cant just ASK. if i just ask, they think your kidding and start laughing. so how can i make them SEE whats going on without just going out and telling them?

Find a book on depression and turn to the part where it explains what it is and the symptoms. Then tell them to read in and when they are done, tell them "That's how I feel" and don't laugh or smile. People often don't want to face adversity. I had to do this with my husband before I truly got his attention. Prior to that I got the standard, "It's all in your head", "Snap out of it", etc...

If you want their help then youare going to have to ask for it. Let them know that you are serious about what you are going to tell them and go from there.

surely you must have one best friend to whom you confide in, why not just speak to that friend and stree to them that you have something to say and want to be serious about it, if they are true friends then they should listen .
