Try Mederma..I had a dark red scar on my arm and it's faded so much you can hardly see it.

Sometimes those over the counter creams only make it worse. My suggestion would be to see a dermetologist. If they cannot help you, you can try going to a laser clinic. Microdermabrasion is painless and will help to minimize the scars. Good luck!
