Check out my mom's books. My mother is Dianne Henderson, author of The Miller's Pond Mystery Series.

Readers voted the books 5 stars.

These are excellent books!

We are still trying to get the word out about the books. Check them out. They are great books. You would like them!!

I read a lot of V.C. Andrews. Flowers in the attic of course.. but did you know that there are like 4 other books that continue the story? It's called the Dollanganger Series. There's also Celeste and the other books in the series, Black Cat is one. If you like a drama filled book that you won't be able to put down VC Andrews is it. It's a light read, but most are rated PG for some naughty chapters. I don't know how old you are but I'd say 16 in over is a good age. Good Luck!

A very good book at any reading level is one that is hard to put down and one that has stood the test of time. Try getting into some of the classics. Since I don't know you, I would only be able to recommend what I liked; we may or may not share tastes in books. Ask your teacher or school librarian to recommend some of the classics that would appeal to your interests.

Read "The Earth, my Butt and Other big round things" by Carolyn Mackler. I know the title is weird but it really is a cool book. I found it in a SCHOOL library. It's about a girl named Virginia who is struggling in High School with her weight. It's hilarious and is middle school reading level. Don't you think it has a catch title?

If you like science fiction/fantasy, try Melanie Rawn.

Dragon Prince trilogy (about $8 a book)
The Star Scroll trilogy (same price)

Some people like R.A. Salvatore but I don't favor him/her as much...and no, I've never researched the author so I don't know their gender.

'Cat's Cradle' by Kurt Vonnegut. Amazing, funny, original, stays with you.

I'd say it's middle reading level... definitely somewhere between 'Ulysses' and 'Puddle Lane'.
