Yes i could be sending letters to wealthy americans offering them a tax credit they can take advantage of by donating money to provide land and homes and business for the less fortunate .Thus providing homes jobs and a community to young familys who other wise would not have this option .Also taking some of the homeless of the streets without forcing them to quit drinking but rather give them a save place to stay so that young kids will not beat them to death for the fun of it .
True i would be wotking to make them more responcible and try to get them to slow way down on the drinking and drug use but that will not get them of the streets if they have to go cold turkey and are not allowed to change over time .

First, I should be changing my address with Voters' Registration. Second, I should probably register with a party (I have been registered as an "independent" for many years). Third, I should be writing letters to senators and representatives regarding issues I feel strongly about.
I know many people who do not vote at all. I could be trying to talk them in to registering, then getting to the polls. I should also become affiliated with the political party that I choose, and do some volunteer work for them before election time comes.

You covered an immense amount of ground with that one question. A beginning would be to get one maverick senator elected. Someone who is so well liked that party affiliation has no meaning. Someone that will engage the senior statesmen in the house and senate with common sense and determination. One political personality that has no use for in-fighting who can grasp and articulate an idea to the point that it "Makes Sense"!
Our problems in government are huge and will not be solved by the idiots currently in office.

I spent the Summer campaigning for a local candidate, and I observed that many voters really don't take the time to check out the candidates themselves.
Campaigning has taken the path of marketing, in this Country, and it would seem that one only has to win the name recognition game to win...
Truthfully, as long as we have an uninformed electorate, and a biased media (either side), we are in for more of what we've got...

We seem set on an inevitable course toward world war 3, and a New World Order fascist police state. I'm not certain there is any possible way of avoiding it. What can any of us do but live a life of non-violence, spreading peace, love, and harmony everywhere we go?
