The media knew about Foley for years--the rumours of his sexual orientation go back at least 8 years, and according to some sources, he had been warned to stay away from the page in question a year ago; I think the "sudden" revelations of his conduct were politically motivated. As for Negron, he's been a known figure for some time, having served in the State House of Representatives since 2001. This year, he ran for the Republican nomination for State attorney general, but dropped out in favour of Congressman Bill McCollum due to fund raising shortages. If I lived in Florida, I would vote for him--actually, Florida voters will see Foley's name still on the November ballot, but all votes for him will go to Negron, who is now an incumbent as state Republicans have chosen him to replace Foley in Congress.
Dem-bulbs should look at the problems in their own house before they start casting stones.
