Need input.
I drew a straight line with the points A,B,C,D on it
I drew another point above and between B and C and called it E
I drew a triangle from B to E to C, with the angle at E 90 degrees.
Then you ask about a in degrees?
Don't know what you mean.
Only thing I can think of is angle ABE and ECD which will both be 135 degrees.

You have a point E above line ABCD. BEC is a right triangle. Therefore, EBC + ECB = 90 degrees.
Because A and D are further out from B and C,
EAB + EDC < 90 degrees. Exactly what those angles are is unknown without more information.

if BEC is a triangle, that means that the sum of all it's angles is 180, and if one angle (E) is right, it's degree is 90, so 180-90=90 so angles B+C=90, you said a degrees, but there is no talk of a line intersecting with A to make an angle. hope that helps :)

45degrees

since the two angles B & C are of the same straight line they have to be equal. Let this angle =x

90+x+x=180
180-90=2x
x=45
