Impressive would be the Tigers. Two years ago this team lost 119 games, now they are four wins away from an American League Championship.
Disappointing would be the Phillies. How many times did they have games won and just let them slip through their fingers? If they had won half of those games going into the 7th or 8th innings they would have been in the playoffs and not the Dodgers.

Most impressive: Minnesota Twins, this team was left for dead in June and now they are division champs. Since June 11 they have a 0.700 win percentage, which I need not tell you is insane. As a team they have dealt with huge injuries: Hunter, Stewart, Ford, Liriano, and Radke, have a rebuilt starting line-up and have met every challange put to them so far. I am very excited to see them perform in the playoffs. They are clearly the 2003 Marlins, 2004 Red Sox, and 2005 White Sox of this season.
Most disappointing: Boston Red Sox. This is a very good baseball team and should probably be the Wild Card team, if not the AL East champs, for this year. When they got swept by the Yankees 5-0, they simply gave up. They had no fight in them. Yes they had injuries, but so does every other team. What makes or breaks a team is how you can deal with those injuries and the Red Sox did a terrible job at this. The only bright light out of Boston was the great season of David Ortiz.

The most dissapointing: everyone's pick are the Tigers and so is mine they really felt in the second half of the season I mean how can u lose your division when u have the best record in the majors that's really embarrasing.
The most impressive: the Mets were the most impressive in the year because they never lost the lead they had in their division and their line up came up big time when they need it. If I wasn't a Yankees fan I would stray out say they are going to win the world series but I still going to root a little for them because of the Carlos( Delgado and Beltran).

Eventhough im a yankee fan I have to say the twins. These guys were 11 gb in june during a time where both the tigers and the white sox were beating up on the crappy NL. they lost Liriano and Radke for the last two months and they were still able to manage winning the division.
The most dissapointing I believe were the cardinals. Not for their collapse at the end but for their season in general. In a year were the NL was sub-paar from the beggining I really thought the Cardinal were going to be ahead of everyone else in dat league instead being the team with the worst record of the playoff teams.

The Most Impressive: Twins. They played their hearts out the entire season and it showed. They won the division. The first team to win the division after not being on top at all during the whole season. Also, they have the highest batting average in the MLB and the best home record. The Twins showed the world that they are contenders.
The most disappointing: Cardinals. They ended the season by going 3-7 out of their last 10 games. They almost let the Astros take their place in the playoffs. They expected too much out of Pujols. Although he is the best player in the majors, he can't do everything. They need people like Edmonds, Rolen, and Eckstein to step up if they want to go back to the World Series. Unfortunatley, that's not going to happen

The Tigers disappointed the most with their free fall in the last months. They are still dangerous. The MOST impressive would be the Minnesota Twins. They were written off during the first 1/2 of the season and came back to win the division.

The Tigers.
I never expected them to go as far as they have.
Everyone (including me) had them pegged to finish 4th and finish under .500 for the 13th straight year.
What they have done is nothing short of impressive and amazing!
