What?!

Well, vasectomy surgery can be reversed first of all.
Secondly, how long ago did he have the surgery? If it was recent, there is still a chance that he will release sperm when you have intercourse. Usually you do a sample semen test to check the semen count, after the surgery and sometime it goes down to 0. This can take months to be achieved.

There is a RARE chance that the area (vans deferns) can reconnect and he will still be able to expell sperm. But this is a long shot.

However, the reversal procedure is difficult, can be expensive, may not be covered by insurance, and may not always work.

Hope this helps.

The cheapest option would be for someone else to get you pregnant or to adopt a child that's in foster care. There are a couple of ways to have a baby with your husband but it involves a fertility clinic and it will be expensive.

What has changed your mind so soon after his surgery?

To reverse the vasectomy
Total cost can be somewhere between $4,000 to $20,000, all inclusive. In the United States, US$10,000 will be the average and in Canada, CAN$5,000 is the average all inclusive price.

Why did he get it done recently and now you have changed your mind and want a baby? the only option is to save the money and have it reversed if your doctor feels this is possible - and think more carefully before you take such drastic measures to stop you having children - good luck x

i'm going to be blunt with you. if you don't have money, don't take on the responsibility of a child. it's just going to stress you out and make you worry about whether you can provide for your child. If you want a child to love that much, save up and when you're financially AND emotionally capable go for it!

As for your options:

Reverse the vasectomy

Adopt

Artificial Insemination

Vascetomy reversal is expensive and is not covered by insurance. The fee can vary from state to state I guess but I would imagine its at least $2,000.00 and there are NO guarantees. You said your husband had the vascetomy recently but NOW you want kids??????

You should have been counseled beforehand that a vasectomy reversal is a very iffy thing and should be considered permanent. I'd say you're hosed unless you want to adopt.

your options are very limited if not zero...insurance don't pay for reverse vacectomies....talk to his doctor to see what it can be done....on time after the surgery the male body stops producing spermatozoides, which is the little swemmers in the sperm
