I have been an LSU ticket-holder since 1972 and have seen a lot come and go. I know up north the people say Ohio St. vs. Michigan but here in the south it is Bama vs. Auburn. They flat hate one another. After the game just about the entire state talks about it until the next match.
They don't call it the Iron Bowl for nothing. Players have to be made out of iron to be standing at the end of the game.

Green Bay vs Chicago...oldest and longest rivalry because GBAY used to play half of its games in Milwaukee just a short drive fro Chi town..and natural rivals in any sport

the biggest rivalry in sports is Yankees v. Red Sox. Nothing gets more tense than that. With everything that has gone on between the two teams in he past 3 years, it is hands down the biggest rivalry.

There are so many regional ones. I personally say Ohio State, Michigan. Its always a national game and there is always a lot on the line.
If looking in all sports I guess you'd have to say Yankee's Red Sox.
What about the old days as in USA USSR now USA Russia.
that always provides for excitement.
Oh of course I have to agree with Lana Sand. Army Navy. Its all class and all for pride. Plus these boys will be putting their life on the for us after they are done. And as a former squid...GO NAVY

Right now, Bengals/Steelers has become pretty good. Also Duke/North Carolina in college basketball and Spurs/Mavericks after the playoffs last year.
The biggest now?? I gotta say USC/Notre Dame. Watch, everybody will be watching that one after what happened last year.

ARMY VS NAVY one of the longest in sports. Their whole season mean nothing if they lose that game. Plus they play for the Commander in chief trophy.
