No. Over hyped and questionable goaltending. Their top line is a bit of an egnima and all other lines have players that have not proved themsleves yet. All the teams in the West this year look better, so the competions is gonna be tougher than last year when the top four seeds got knocked out of the first round which pretty much enabled the Ducks to get as far as they did.

Doubtful. They had a good run in '06 and 9 times out of 10 the losing Finalist and Semi-Finalist do not take the leap forward. Long playoff runs that do not end in Cups, drain players for the following season.

Personally, I think the Ducks are not that great a team. They got lukcy Giggy sucked and Ilya saved their ***. Prongy is a good pickup but in the regular season he didn't exactly help Edm clinch that 8th spot with ease. My guess is Anaheim will find it tough being a Cup "fave." Look what happened after their '03 good playoff run...missed the playoffs in '04.

No. Their defense is solid with Pronger and Niedermayer leading the way. Giguere just isn't the goalie to win the Cup. Bryzgalov can do it, but he needs time to improve a bit. Their offense is still kinda young. Let them mature a bit and then you can think about the Stanley Cup.

Playoffs, probably. Finals, probably not, Reason: too many good teams in the Western Conference. And how about the re-designed colors and logo for the ducks? that might help team moral a little.

Yes. They have 2 of the three best defencemen in the league. I think their goaltending will hold up fine. I think Brzgalov will be the #1 goalie and I think Teemu is going to have another great year.
