I'm writing a short assignment for my government class, and in order to write my best, I want to know different opinions, other than mine.

I love the idea of interest groups. The majority of people in the country know nothing about politics and I think someone needs to influence the government.

I will definitely give 10 points to the answer, preferrably other than mine, and that gives lots of details why you think that way.

Political interest groups are well paid lobbyist in our days. The common people are sometimes afraid of expressing their real political opinions in fear of rejection in their work groups sometimes to not become controversial or ostracized. Our nation used to be a great forum of political opinion now people even think that some one is out there trying to blacklist them like it hap pend in previous administrations during international conflicts. It used to be Americans VS Communists now that Communism is not a thread for our Nation we have found a new old cliche: Liberals Vs Conservatives. Right wingers Vs Left wingers always has been the tension point but now is all about Religious Extremism. During the times of foundation of this country being a liberal was seen as being a revolutionary proactive against the English monarchy now a days is viewed like being a weak flip flopper in defense terms like being anti-defense. Conservatives were used to be looked at defenders of status quo, detractors to social change, defenders of the interest of the rich, intransigent religious prudes. Now a days being conservative is a symbol of power. What a long ways we've walked but still in the same trade-mill.

political intrests groups
well depends on there influence ,if they encourage the politician with facts instead of money then I stongly dis agree that they have a place in government for there is no such thing as a sizable charitable campagn donation void of strings .
in my opinion these special intrests groups and lobbiests are what is wrong with todays government .
we need to hear from the people not the corperations of our sociaty.
when an orginization has the ability to perswade the policy makers then they take a hold on comerce and the ability to form quiet monopolies i.e. sister companys all owned and controlled by one board and al these sister companies can contribute to a political campagn seperatly and if you have ten comanies you can contribute ten times to one party from the same group .
now take phillip moris and all there subsiduaries they ultamately all trace back to a single executive board which gives them alot of financial power to help the ones who will help them stay a big corperation well it starts to get confuing so ill just say this do a little reading and then figure out if you enjoy your freedoms
then explain how intrest groups and lobbiest provide them for you
