Buddha was born "Buddha — Date of Birth: C. 563 BC",
He viewed the 4 tragedies when he was 29, and set out to learn about the world, wandered around for a long time, he studied with hindi asccetics for 2 years, then left, and achived enlightenment shortly after. He was maybe, what? 35? So add 30-35 to 563BC, meaning 543-538BC is when he became enlightened, then started teaching it to his desciples. It didn't just come out of nowhere, so there's no exact date for when it started, but that'd be when he began teaching it.
