If a person earns a Paramedic Associate Degree in Texas, would that certification transfer over to another state, or would you have to retake the college classes over again? I'm guessing each state has different regulations concerning Paramedic protocol and procedure...

Hey...no one's answered your question yet. Bummer.
I had a really great answer almost completed, but I heard the tones go off, so I had to delete it and go out on a run.

First off, you know there's a difference between the associate's degree and the actual paramedic certification, right? After you complete your associate's degree, you will have everything necessary to become a paramedic, but you still have to take National Registry tests to actually get certified. Once you pass the National Registry tests, you need to apply for state certification. This really varies from state to state (there are some states that don't even accept National Registry results; you have to take their own state test before you can be a paramedic in that state!), but in Alabama, for state licensure, all you have to do is submit your National Registry test results, and take a couple of extra courses about state protocols.

Basically, the associate's degree will transfer over to any state (as long as it's from an accreditied institution) because it's just a degree and not the actual certification. The actual National Registry certification usually transfers over to most states, but you still have to meet the state's individual requirements for licensure. So, you won't have to repeat the associate's degree every time you move to a different state! You just have to apply for the license to work as a paramedic in that state.
Does this help?

without seeing each and every of the circumstances, i would be unable to truly supply a judgement, yet i might would desire to declare in simple terms from what I observed, i might have achieved issues slightly diverse. Being that this became into an ambulance interior the process a transport, i might have accompanied it to the wellness middle and dealt with the situation there, if in fact there became right into a difficulty considering the fact that my first difficulty could be for the affected person. I did hear the Officer say interior the sprint-cam version of this incident that somebody interior the ambulance gave him a "hand gesture" after the ambulance virtually brought about an twist of fate by potential of not yeilding good-of-way, which in my state, an emergency motor vehicle would not would desire to yeild good of way with lights fixtures and sirens on.. The hand gesture might have aggravated me nonetheless. i've got been on the two facets of this fence as an officer and ambulance driving force and that i'd desire to declare that the 1st duty on the ambulance drivers area is to verify the affected person and group arrives properly on the wellness middle. this means making use of in a secure way first and preferable and this takes priority over speed of which the affected person arrives and the driving force is often occurring with that if he's been suitable knowledgeable. The paramedic would desire to have stored his mouth close whether he became into in "cost" of the transport and affected person's care, because of the fact this became into between the Officer and driving force who's to blame for a fashion the unit is being operated. If the Paramedic had a criticism concerning to the officer, he would desire to have addressed it along with his supervisor, or the officers supervisor later on. So it form of sounds like numerous 3 persons have been to blame because of the fact it form of feels no person placed the patents risk-free practices and welfare first. yet as I suggested, i'm making no judgements because of the fact I wasn't there.
